Threats case in court

A man is being prosecuted for alleged threats and acting aggressively.

Duncan Stewart, 54, has been charged with shouting and swearing in Canal Street, Johnstone.

He yesterday denied acting in a threatening or abusive manner when the case was called at Paisley Sheriff Court.

It is claimed Stewart, of Fairway Avenue, Paisley, kicked off during an incident in the town on March 7.

Sheriff Seith Ireland ordered him to return for a pre- trial hearing on September 15.
