Allan’s out for revenge as he takes on rival Farooq in title belt battle

Paisley’s Lagoon Leisure Centre will host one of Scotland’s most anticipated boxing rematches in years.

Reigning Scottish bantamweight champion Scott Allan will square off against Kash Farooq in a British title eliminator on Saturday, September 9 in what is expected to be a blockbuster clash.

Farooq stunned Allan back in January and the Shotts boxer has been gunning for a rematch ever since.

Allan, 24, defeated Dmitrijs Gutmans on points at the Lagoon earlier this month to tee him up for his clash with Farooq.

Since his famous win, Farooq, who is undefeated in six bouts since turning pro, has also scored a points win over Gutmans and beat Michael Barnor.

Allan, nicknamed the Title Taker, will be hoping to school his 20-year-old opponent and move into British title contention.
