Moving on up
Primary seven leaving service is an emotional one

Primary seven youngsters bid an emotional farewell to their school.
Langcraigs Primary pupils invited their families to the teary farewell as they move up to secondary.
The bash at Glenburn Parish Church served as a joint celebration of the school’s 60th birthday.
Former teachers joined children for the service, as each of the P7s paid tribute to staff.
Headteacher Graeme Maclean admitted there were more than a few damp eyes.
He said: “Every year we hold a service for the pupils who move up.
“It was especially important this time because it also tied in with the school’s 60th birthday.
“There was standing room only, with former members of staff and parents all squeezing in to play their part.
“We have 40 children heading off to secondary this year and each of them stood to say their own goodbye.
“It was very emotional and there were more than a few tears shed.
“A huge thank you needs to be paid to all of the family members who made it along. We are very lucky to receive such backing and they go a long way to making the school what it is.”
The school, on Paisley’s Glenvilla Road, was opened in 1956 and has served Glenburn families for generations.
