Give wee Eilidh’s fundraiser a boost

-

You can still donate to little Eilidh Lewis’ fundraising page.

The kindhearted six-yearold has donated the hair from her first haircut to a charity for children with cancer.

She wanted to give her long locks to the Little Princess Trust after mum Gillian told her about the charity last year.

Eilidh waited until her hair had grown a bit longer then visited Oakshaw Hair and Beauty to see stylist Elizabeth Tennant to get the 10inchlong hair chopped off at the weekend to create a smart new bob.

Proud mum Gillian said: “Elizabeth had done the same thing for her niece and I was showing Eilidh the pictures on Facebook and she said she wanted to do it.

“She’s had it trimmed before, but never cut.

“My mum and I were both there and we were both amazed that she was doing it.

“It was all her idea, she kept saying wanted to do it to give it to children with cancer.

“I think she’s really chuffed with herself and so are we.”

The Little Princess Trust is a charity which provides wigs free of charge, to children across the UK and Ireland who have lost their own hair due to cancer treatment and other illnesses.
