ScotRail admitted just 41 per cent of services arrived at the terminal on schedule last month.
The hub is one of 22 across the country which posted on- time performance results under 50 per cent.
Paisley- based MSP Neil Bibby, transport spokesman fo Scottish Labour, hit- out after the operator insisted performance is up across Scotland.
He said: “It is very concerning for passengers in the town that services terminating at Paisley Canal continue to be late more often than they are on time.
“The fact that only 41 per cent of services are on time is unacceptable and local commuters deserve better.
“Public satisfaction with ScotRail is at a 14-year low and passengers are losing patience with Transport Minister Humza Yousaf’s failure to act.
“They are fed up with overcrowded, delayed and cancelled trains.
“The fact that fewer than half of services arrive on time at 22 stations is quite frankly unacceptable.
“Humza Yousaf cannot allow a repeat of the chaos that blighted the rail network last autumn and winter, and that means getting on top of performance when weather is better during the summer months.”
ScotRail trains are late if they do not pull in within 59 seconds of their scheduled arrival, having called at all booked stations on the route.
The figures date between May 28 and June 24, with Milngavie the worst with just over a quarter services arriving on-time.
ScotRail chiefs insist 97.4 per cent of trains pulling in within five minutes.
A spokesman said: “The ScotRail franchise contains the toughest quality regime in the UK to drive up standards.
“We have also secured a straightforward Delay Repay process whereby passengers on ScotRail can claim compensation if their service is delayed over 30 minutes.”
