Corinne heads up a new craze

-

An charity boss has sparked a new Youtube craze after being filmed performing a headstand.

Quadruple amputee Corinne Hutton, from Lochwinnoch, shared the video on the Facebook page of her charity Finding Your Feet and has inspired imitators from around the globe.

It quickly gained more than 6,000 views, and prompted some friends and family to submit their own videos.

the headstand has now reached people all over the world. the charity has received and shared pictures and videos from switzerland, Brussels, Corfu and more exotic locations miles away from their Glasgow office.

other amputees who were touched by the video have began sharing their own headstands, all with the hashtag #HeadstandForFYF.

Corinne is surprised with the response to something that was initially just for a laugh.

she said:“I was in the office and we were discussing gymnastics, as you do.

“Next thing I was upside down against the wall — I didn’t even know anyone was filming it.

“Any awareness for the charity is great though, and it’s amazing to see people take a break and be a bit silly for a minute.”

the mum-of-one will soon be taking a break from headstands and getting into her wetsuit, as she prepares to take on the London triathlon on July 22.

In recent years, Corinne has climbed Ben Nevis, abseiling down the sky Park, in Glasgow, and cycled round Cumbrae in record time for her charity.

Finding Your Feet supports families affected by amputation or limb difference through sporting initiatives and social inclusion projects.
