Delivery driver raped girl, 11

A former takeaway delivery driver was yesterday convicted of raping an 11-year-old almost 20 years ago.

Depraved paedophile Paul Colquhoun, 49, of Wellmeadow Street, Paisley, plied the primary schoolgirl with alcohol and when she was drunk removed her clothing and subjected her to a horror ordeal.

The offence took place sometime between December 1999 and December 2000.

Vile Colquhoun also attempted to rape the young girl on various occasions at houses in Lochwinnoc­h and Clydebank.

In court, the girl told how Colquhoun bought her a zipper jacket and would drive her about in the car while he was delivering takeaway meals.

He was also convicted of raping two sleeping women.

He raped one woman while she was asleep sometime between October 1994 and October 1996.

When the woman woke up and told him to stop, Colquhoun just ignored her.

The other rape took place at a flat in Glasgow on one occasion between May and August 2006.

Sentence on Colquhoun, a first offender, was deferred until August 22 at the High Court in Edinburgh .
