The hugely- successful St Mirren netball side is on the hunt for new players following yet another promotion-winning season.

The Paisley club has two sides, with the first team gaining promotion back to the First Division for the upcoming campaign, which starts in September.

And their second side is currently playing in the Third Division, while there are also recreational members of the squad too.

St Mirren are training over the summer at Robertson Sports Centre, University of the West of Scotland in Paisley, from 6.30pmto 7.30pm on a Wednesday night.

However, the side normally trains at Glennifer High School on a Monday night from 7.30pm to 9.30pm and will confirm a date of when this session will resume once schools are back.

All levels of player are welcome, and club captain Hannah Holmes revealed that joining the club is great way to get fit.

The St Mirren captain said: “Having played for St Mirren for over a decade, I have been lucky enough to watch us grow into the fun and successful club that we are.

“We welcome players of all abilities, whether you’re completely new to the sport and eager to find out more, or haven’t played in a while and are looking to get back into netball, St Mirren caters for all.

“We have opportunities to join our competitive teams in the Glasgow netball league, as well as being able to play for fun.

“It’s a great way to easily build fitness levels whilst meeting new people. Come along and find out more.”
