& Style and substance
It’s the Scottish summer – so, yes, it’s pouring. This, however, presents the perfect opportunity to get your house’s interior in perfect shape for that sale. Visit hoa.org.uk for top tips. Here is a property for buyers who are looking for something special.
Located in Bishopton’s Mar Hall Avenue, its is a house where style and substance go hand in hand, say the agents.
You pass through electronicallycontrolled security gates, no less, to be met with a large house “which makes an unmistakable statement of solidity and success without pretensions”.
The agents add that symmetry and proper proportions are the order of the day, with “design cues” taken from the best of the last century’s residential style, carefully combined with more upto-date touches.
The inside is something to write home about too.
As you might imagine, there is plenty of living space, coupled with attention to detail.
Every door and architrave and all the skirtings are fashioned from solid white oak.
The kitchen, says the agents, has been individually-designed by the experts at Kitchens International.
The aim was to create light, airy, inviting spaces which “work ergonomically with ruthless efficiency”.

It adds that construction SMEs have reported a range of material price increases since the depreciation of sterling following the EU referendum in June 2016.
Firms were asked which materials have increased the most, and responses included timber, insulation, bricks.
Worryingly, 85 per cent of builders think material price rises could drive consumers to hire rogue traders in a bid to save cash.
