However, two of the yobs followed her before launching into a shocking attack near to the cenotaph.

They punched and kicked the stunned victim, before dragging her to the pavement.

And as she cowered to protect herself the third brute got involved, raining down blows.

Fortunately, the woman managed to avoid being seriously injured in the senseless assault and escaped with just bruising and cuts.

Cops later managed to track down the three teen yobs responsible for the attack.

A Po l i c e S c o t l a n d spokesman said: “Police were called to a report of an assault in St Mirren Street, Paisley, at 10.54pm on Tuesday.

“A 29- year- old woman suffered injuries after being targeted by three attackers following an altercation in Paisley High Street which was spotted by CCTV operators in the town centre.”

Three 17-year-old girls are expected to appear, at Paisley Sheriff Court in connection with assault charges.

Earlier that day, hero cops kept a stricken woman breathing in her home until paramedics arrived to save her life.

The Paisley officers raced to Dalskeith Crescent, in Ferguslie Park, after a 999 call to report a 36-year-old woman had taken ill.

By the time officers arrived at the house, they found the woman unconscious and unresponsive on the floor.

They administered lifesaving CPR for up to five minutes before an ambulance crew arrived.

She did not require hospital treatment following the neardeath experience.
