Rockers make no bones about playing Paisley

-

Tickets have sold out for a bumper gig in Paisley on Monday in support of Independent Music Week.

UK rockers Band of Skulls shifted all their tickets for the show at the Bungalow, in Shuttle Street, with time to spare.

And fans who missed out have been told to contact the venue in hope of any returns.

The indie-rock outfit will be performing at The Bungalow to celebrate Independent Venue Week, in association with Jagermeister.

Band of Skulls formed in Southampton in 2004 and have since released two studio albums, with tracks featured on Band of Skulls excited to be playing at The Bungalow for music week

Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock and on The Twilight Saga: New Moon Soundtrack.

After selling out London’s Electric Ballroom, the three-piece toured the USA and Canada and then went on to open shows for Muse and feature on TV programmes such as Jools Holland.

The band told The Ticket: “We are heading out on the road to play a group of shows, in collaboration with Independent Venue Week, which sees us heading to some cracking live music venues around the country, including The Bungalow.

“For these shows, we will be joined by our good friend Julian Dorio on drums.

“We haven’t had the pleasure of playing Paisley before, but are all super excited to bring our rock ‘n’ roll show to town. “It’s going to be hot and loud. “There’s something pretty special about playing such an intimate venue and seeing the whites of the eyes of the front row. “We can’t wait.” The band added: “We’ve played a lot of venues around Scotland and the crowds are always up for a wild night.

“We have fond memories of King Tuts and also having maybe too much of a good time in Nice and Sleazy’s, not so many clear memories there.”

Emma Mackenzie, from The Bungalow, said: “We are delighted to be working with the Independent Venue Week organisation once again.

“We would also like to thank Band of Skulls and Jagermeister for their support of grassroots, independent and fair play venues and we are looking forward to having them perform on our stage.”
