Familes love to be crafty
A community came together for a family arts and crafts fun day.
Charity Stronger Communities supported Glenburn community members, Bushes Craft and Glenburn Pre 5 Centre to host a creative workshop.
As part of the day, young people from the area worked with to create a beautiful mural on the walls of the Glenburn Pre-5 Centre.
Laura Devine, Stronger Communities manager, said: “It was great to see young people help make the area more colourful and the mural is part of a bigger plan to make the area surrounding the pre-5 centre and nearby play park a family friendly place to play. Some of the young people who took part actually attended the pre-5 centre as children.
“We also had some art and crafts activities in the community centre, a BBQ and an art exhibition which displayed art created by families.
Stronger Communities wants to help make Glenburn a better place for children to grow up by empowering local people to create positive change.
The event was an opportunity to bring the community together and let others know how they can be involved.
