Fraser’s aiming high for hospice

A Paisley bank worker is set to stride out in support of Hospice UK in the Tweed Valley Marathon Trek.

Fraser Young, 47, a quality and competence partner based at the Clydesdale and Yorkshire’s Causeyside Street branch, is heading for the hills in the Scottish Borders for a the fundraisin­g challenge event on September 15.

He’ll join a team of trekkers pulling on their walking boots in the hope of raising a £100,000 to support Hospice UK.

Fraser said: “I’m really excited to be taking part in what looks set to be a fun event in one of the most beautiful areas of the Scottish countrysid­e.

“I’m sure it will be a challengin­g and amazing experience”.

Tracey Bleakley, chief executive of Hospice UK, said: “We are delighted that, once again, so many staff from Clydesdale and Yorkshire Banks will be putting their best foot forward in one of our challenge events to support Hospice UK.

“I will be taking part and am really looking forward to hitting the hills with the CYB team who always embrace our events with such enthusiasm and determinat­ion.
