- Craig Ritchie

The Purple Army turned out in their numbers to get a first glimpse of their side’s new kit.

The Braehead Clan was out in force as almost 500 supporters flocked to see the club’s kit reveal of their new EIHL jerseys, which are manufactured by Warrior.

The new purple, black and white jerseys were launched in front of a packed centre auditorium in the shopping mall, followed by head coach John Tripp presenting each player with their jersey for the season ahead.

Clan hockey and operations director Gareth Chalmers was delighted with the event.

He said: “It was a superb start to the EIHL season for the club and we’d like to thank all the supporters that turned up for the event.

“Thanks must also go to intuBraehead and Braehead Arena for assisting with and accommodating the evening.

“The new-style Warrior jerseys seem to have gone down very well.

“We’ve worked very hard with Warrior on the design and we’re delighted with the final product.

“The purple jersey will be worn for Gardiner Conference home games, the black jersey for Erhardt and Paton Conference home games with the white being worn on the road.”

The jerseys are now available to purchase via the club’s online store and on match night at the merchandise stall.

Replica jerseys are priced at £60 for adults and £40 for kids.

And, for the first time, the club are also offering the opportunity to purchase authentic jerseys, which are exactly the same as what the players wear during games.

Authentic jerseys are priced at £100 for adults and £80 for kids.
