Defence agent Tony Callahan said: “I am disappointed he has not appeared today given the chance your lordship gave him when he last appeared and persuaded your lordship not to send him to custody.”

Sheriff Spy who agreed with the lawyer advised he was seeking a warrant to apprehend Herron “in respect of his nonappearance.”

He added Herron’s other defence lawyer Michael McKeown would also be “disappointed” at his client given his work in representing the musician.

The 20-year-old was recently arrested at the O2 Academy in Glasgow as he prepared to support US Hip Hop star Nas, because he refused to perform unpaid work handed to him by Sheriff Spy after housebreaking and fighting with cops in Paisley.

Herron carried out the housebreaking offence on Boxing Day, 2014, when be broke into the property at Strathmore Avenue, in Paisley, and stole a laptop, a DIY tool, a quantity of cards and gift vouchers, and other personal possessions.

He also resisted, obstructed and hindered his arrest by struggling with officers and failed to declare he was armed with a pair of garden shears, which resulted in the injury to one police officer.

He was handed the court punishment on November 19, 2015, when he was given 12 months supervision, 240 hours of unpaid work and ordered to pay £100 compensation.

However, he did only 16 of the 240 hours’ unpaid work and missed a string of court appearances. He had spent 26 days on remand after he was arrested at the O2.

He stood in the dock again on August 8 and promised the sheriff he would toe the line and adhere to the court’s instructions.

When asked by Sheriff Spy he was willing to knuckle down and “do the work,” Herron said: “Absolutely, I will your lordship.

“I realise I was just behaving like a silly wee boy. I was saying I was victim of circumstances, but now I will be responsible for my actions.”

Herron was among of a string artists including The Jesus and Mary Chain, Arab Strap and Dizzee Rascal who performed at Electric Fields.
