Brew up and help charity

-

Get some friends together for cake and a cuppa and raise money for charity at the same time during Macmillan Cancer Support’s Biggest Coffee Morning.

This is the 27th year of the famous event which takes place in homes, workplaces, communities and schools across the country on Friday, September 29.

In Scotland, 6,665 coffee mornings raised more than £2.3 million in 2016 and this year’s event aims to raise even more money for people affected by cancer.

The first official Biggest Coffee Morning took place in 1991 and it has since become the largest fundraising event of its kind, raising more than £ 194 million UK- wide for people affected by cancer over the past 26 years.

This year, organisers hope the overall total raised by World’s Biggest Coffee Morning will pass the £200 million mark.
