Workshops will help firms to do the business

A line- up of Autumn workshops aim to connect businesses in Renfrewshire.

A wide ranging programme of events and workshops has been launched by Business Gateway to help business owners gain valuable skills and connect with the right people.

The events include everything from start-up topics such as business planning, marketing and finance, to growth issues including exporting, e- commerce and Intellectual Property.

In addition, the programme offers a host of networking opportunities.

Workshop highlights over the coming weeks will be held at InCube, 27 High Street, Paisley and include:

Start Up Finance takes place on Tuesday, September 26, from 9.30am to 12.30 pm. This event provides information on the importance of cash flow to successfully manage business.

It will look at profits and loss accounts, cash flow statements and working capital.

Customer Care on Thursday, October 5, runs from from 10am to 1 pm.

This workshop aims to help firms deliver a competitive and profitable service through recognising the importance of customer service in attracting and retaining customers.

Start Up Awareness takes place on Tuesday, October 10, from 10am to noon.

Here firms can learn the essentials about getting a new business off the ground.

This seminar will ensure staff get the basics right and that bosses make the correct decisions.
