Kyle’s poised to train again

-

Kyle Magennis is expected to be back in St Mirren training within 10 days all being well.

Magennis has been absent from the Saints side ever since limping out of the club’s friendly defeat to Dundee back in July.

Saints boss Jack Ross admitted that the Scotland Under 20s midfielder hasn’t been back as quick as first thought.

But he revealed that he believes it is only a matter of time before Magennis is back in the mix.

He said: “Hopefully Kyle is edging closer. He has had a wee setback but we will hopefully find out soon if he can push on again.

“If he can then he should be back in the next 10 days.”

Meanwhile, both Harry Davis and David Clarkson have been back on the training field as they continue their road to recovery.

Although, neither is yet training with the first team, both have been running following their long- term injuries.

Ross added: “Obviously David will have to work hard with his rehab, and he is also continuing the roles he is doing at the club as well.

“Clarky and Harry have kind of been pushing each other along and Harry is now taking bigger steps forward.

“He has been out on the grass running now.

“All being well he shouldn’t be to far away from full training.”
