Music week has been a huge hit

- It’s been a blast promoting Paisley Music Week.

Since Monday, venues have been showcasing the amazing live music that the town has to offer.

Sponsored by Paisley First, music week sees over 30 acts play across 17 venues, from pubs and restaurant­s to the streets of the town.

No big names or big stages, this is music for the people and all the entertainm­ent is free.

The aim of Paisley Music Week is to attract more people into the town to experience what is on offer and bring the artistic community together.

Tomorrow, look out for busking stations all over the town from 12pm until 4pm.

There’s four in a row at The Cave this weekend. Auldskool is 9pm tonight, tomorrow at 6pm is Fools Circle and taking you into the night is Sad Ida at 9pm.

On Sunday, DIrty Luv is back and they start at 6pm.

Paisley rockers Heavy Load hit The Old Swan tonight from 8pm, with lead vocalist Crawford Carlyle at the helm.

In the 4pm shoppers’ slot is Loanhead, who will lash out some great guitar driven tunes.

The Spuds play on Monday at 3pm and on Wednesday it’s the turn of The Pre Fab Four from 6pm.

At The Library, Taboo are playing from 8pm tonight.

Colin Davidson will be at Burger and Keg this evening from 9.30pm and tomorrow at the same time is Sam and Jiggy.

Jim Murray will be performing at Zambretto on Old Sneddon Street at 10pm and Joe Sweeney is at Bar Pre from 9pm.

Hitting The Anchor this week is Robert McIntosh on Sunday and Jenn McLauchlan will host The Monday Club at 4pm.

Check out a superb night of young bands at Callum’s Cavern tomorrow night.

The line-up is Hangszeres, Suptopian Planning Board and David McKay.

Tomorrow night at The Bungalow at 8pm is The Kar-Pets, who are an Inspiral Carpets tribute band.

They have a notable difference from other tribute bands, as ex-Inspirals member Tom Hingley is part of the act.

Support will come from local 90s legends The Muldoons, followed by a DJ set from Boab Williamson.

There are plenty upcoming open mic nights on offer.

Cat Caldwell is at The Bungalow on Sunday from 8pm, while Dunky Hunter is the host on Monday at The Abbey Bar, from 8pm.

Andy Lindsey is at The Anchor on Tuesday from 8pm, and on Wednesday, Johnny Carr takes charge at Burger and Keg from 8pm.

On Wednesday, Andy Lindsay is at The Patter Bar from 8pm, while and The Library open mic is Thursday, from 8pm.

Last, but not least is Alan McKim who will be hosting at The Afton on Thursday from 8pm.

There’s lots of music on offer in the town this week, so get out and support local bands and venues, and have a great time.
