-

The finalists in the search for Renfrewshire’s Favourite Business have been announced – and the winner is down to you.

Six fantastic firms have been shortlisted for the prestigious category at this year’s ROCCO Awards, run by Renfrewshire Chamber of Commerce.

Now in their 14th year, the ROCCOs are described as the premier business event in Renfrewshire, which will be hosted again by ROCCO regular funnyman Fred MacAulay at the Normandy Hotel in Renfrew.

The six nominees in the running for the favourite business award, sponsored by the Paisley Daily Express, are Cafe Su in Paisley; Comicrazy; Elderslie Butchers and Coffee Shop; last year’s winners Origins Fitness; Pandamonium; and The Cave.

Over the next three weeks, until the poll closes on October 26, the Express will profile each of the six businesses.

Today it’s the turn of Pandamonium, the popular soft play area for children aged under 12 in Erskine.

The soft play centre is five-years-old next month and in that time has entertained thousands of children.

Manager Jennifer McNaughton said:“Children can come in here and have two hours play on trampolines, bouncy castle, soft play area, go karts, slides and climbing frames. We do toddler sessions, which are just £1.50, and include a snack as well as events with characters from Paw Patrol and Frozen. “Our kids parties are really popular.” The centre was set up by John Hay and Alan Arnott and employs 34 members of staff, both full and part time.

Jennifer said:“Alan was delighted to be nominated. Last year we were in for Best Family Business and we’re delighted to be nominated in this category this year.

“We do bring a lot to Renfrewshire. We have about 1,000 families through the door every week, it’s busy every day.”

 The online poll is open on the Paisley Daily Express website and all our readers are encouraged to take part. The company with the most votes by the time voting closes on October 26 will be crowned the winner at the glittering awards ceremony on Friday, November 17.
