Jordan is staying positive

-

Braehead Clan youngster Jordan Buesa insists things are ready to turn in the Clan’s favour if they continue to improve.

Clan may have fallen to their second defeat on the bounce with their Challenge Cup loss to Nottingham Panthers – but Buesa reckons that things are starting to turn for Clan as they look to piece together a series of positive results.

Buesa said:“We can take a lot of positives from that game.

“We made some big steps from last weekend and we should be happy with that but we should have had a couple more goals .

“We just need to keep working hard and get the results.

“The coach has just told us to keep it going but to clean up the little mistakes, and that should hopefully move us forward and get a couple of results.

“Saturday should be a really good game. We are all up for it and hopefully we can get the win, get a good few goals in and keep it solid at the back.”

Seventeen-year-old Buesa has enjoyed some increased ice time in recent weeks as head coach John Tripp has to deal with injuries, suspensions and players still to arrive at the club.

It is more game time than Buesa would have expected heading into the new season, having penned an apprentice contract at the beginning of last year.

However, he revealed that he isn’t going to complain about the amount of time he is getting as he looks to just build more experience.

He added:“I’m loving getting the ice time. I am just here learning every single day, working hard – and anything else I get is a bonus.

“I just focus on doing the job and that’s it. I would do anything for the team to help them win.

“I have got to just keep trying hard to force myself into the team. I have got to keep giving 100 per cent and if that makes the coach think I am the right person to go in that’s great.“
