Emma Kennedy has been crowned Paisley Golf Club champion 2017 at this year’s AGM.

And it was an action-packed night, with it confirmed immediate past club champions Lynn Forsyth and Pamela Buttar have been elected captain and vice of the Ladies’ Section at Paisley Golf Club.

Lynn was club champion in 2014 and 2015 and is now Ladies’ Captain 2017/18.

Pamela, meanwhile, has been club champion on three occasions, most recently in 2016, and she narrowly lost to Emma in this year’s final.

She takes up the role of Ladies’ Vice-Captain. They are pictured presenting Emma, 22, with her Club Champion trophy at the Ladies’ AGM.

Lynn told Express Sport: “I am honoured to take up the Lady Captaincy of Paisley Golf Club.

“I have been a member of the club since 2001 and have enjoyed taking part in all that our section offers – our monthly medals and stablefords, as well as a wide variety of other competitions, participation in leagues, and great social and charity events throughout our season.

“I am delighted that Pamela has agreed to be my vice.

“She and I have competed against each other in two Club Champion finals and I have total respect for her commitment to the game.

“We are both confident that together – and with the support of our enthusiastic committee – we will continue to provide our members with a friendly and vibrant environment in which to play their golf.”
