Gleniffer greenspace is hailed in TripAdvisor review

- Chris Taylor

The Gleniffer Braes have earned another five-star visitor review — as a top dogging hotspot.

TripAdvisor critics have listed hook-ups at the beauty spot as one of the biggest reasons to visit Paisley.

Contributor thefreefa11 posted on the website, insisting there is more to take in than just the scenery.

They wrote: “Still top dog for dogging. “Easy to find and hard to forget. “Just take a ride on the swings and watch the show.”

Posters on Reddit — an online message board, visited by millions of people every day — identified the site as Robertston Car Park.

Munro Baggins was among those insisting the location was the Car Park In The Sky.

He said: “I love taking my dug a walk up the braes, just got to make sure you’re not still up there after dark.”

The writer was joined by user Wrongly Pronounced, who joked: “There are some great views up there ... also some not-so-great views.”

As previously revealed by the Express, kinky couples have hailed the Braes as one of the country’s best spots for romping.

They used another web portal to encourage others to join them and even posted warnings when police have turned up.

The website describes “lots of daytime and night-time fun” for couples and gay men, with some posting to alert others they are waiting.

Instructions reveal how to reach sites, including woodland, industrial blocks and lay-bys.

A pensioner was caught after flashing cops on the Braes – telling them: “I thought I knew you.”

Murdo McKenzie, then 65, was put on the Sex Offenders’ Register after he exposed himself to officers in an unmarked police car in 2015.

Paisley Sheriff Court was told the creep got out his blue Honda Civic in Robertson Car Park, before committing a sex act.

McKenzie, whose address was given on court papers as Kirkhaven Care Home, in Dalmarnock, Glasgow, turned and began urinating after he saw the uniformed officers get out on March 14.

Police Scotland has urged those concerned about dogging to get in touch.

A spokesman said: “Anyone who would like to raise a complaint is asked to contact police on 101.”
