A woman was rushed to hospital after a crash at a busy Paisley junction.

Two cars collided at the junction between Mill Street and Glasgow Road at around 2.45pm yesterday afternoon.

The incident involved a red Ford Fiesta and a silver Vauxhall Corsa.

Police were unable to comment on the woman’s condition last night.

A spokesman for the Scottish Ambulance Service said:“We received a call at 2.43pm on Monday to attend an incident on Glasgow Road.

“We dispatched one ambulance to the scene.
