Help hospice’s Christmas tree shine bright

-

Families can remember lost love ones this Christmas by sponsoring a light on the St Vincent’s Hospice tree.

The charity is staging the popular memorial, with all cash raised helping those with life-limiting illnesses.

Volunteers will switch on the lights at a special service, with carol singing, readings, mince pies and hot drinks.

Kate Lennon, chief executive of the hospice, said:“Light Up a Life is a very special time for everyone at the hospice and people all across Renfrewshire.

“Even if you have never used our services, it offers an opportunity to remember loved ones and come together with people who have had a similar experience to share stories, celebrate their lives and make a positive difference as we light up our tree to welcome in the festive season.

“Every single penny raised from Light Up a Life makes a huge difference to the services we are able to offer our patients and families affected by life-limiting conditions throughout our community.

“Whether this is caring for them in our inpatient unit, our day hospice or in people’s own homes, all of this is only possible with your support.

“Please, join us and light up a life this Christmas.”

The commemoration service takes place in the courtyard on Midton Road, Howwood, from 5pm on Sunday, November 26.

Parking will be available at nearby Corseford School, with a shuttle service running from 4.15pm to and from the event. Blue badge parking is available at the hospice.
