Charity is ready for festive fun

-

One of Scotland’s top charities is counting down to Christmas with a host of festive events.

Quarriers’ calendar includes its Christmas fair, Noel Lunch and Festival of Choirs.

The fair takes place today, from 10am to 2pm, at Kilmacolm Community Centre, in the village’s Lochwinnoch Road.

It features stalls over three floors, Santa’s grotto, a raffle and tombola, and a pop-up cafe.

Admission is £2.50 for adults, £1.50 for kids, or £6 for a family ticket, which includes two adults and two children.

The Noel Lunch, now in its 24th year, will be held at the Glasgow Marriott Hotel on Friday, December 1.

This year, money raised will support the work of Quarriers’head injury service at the charity’s Bridge of Weir base.

Alice Harper, Quarriers chief executive officer, said:“Quarriers’ head injury service works with those directly affected, as well as their families and carers, providing practical and emotional support to help people to come to terms with their condition and cope with daily life.

“I’m so pleased funds from this year’s Noel Lunch will go towards this service and I look forward to welcoming you all on Friday, December 1.”

Tickets for the Noel Lunch cost £50 per person.

The annual Festival of Choirs will take place on Sunday, December 10 at Princes Square mall, Glasgow.
