Winter wonderland festival is the best
As the old adage goes, I think it’s fair to say that Christmas in Paisley really is the most wonderful time of the year.
We had the spectacular fireworks display at the beginning of November to help get us into the winter spirit, then the Christmas lights switch-on starting the countdown to December.
And, now Paisley First’s WinterFest is up and running , a Christmas buzz has definitely settled over the town.
Whether you want to brave the cold and have a go on the ice rink at Central Way, browse the continentalstyle market on Gilmour Street and High Street, or enjoy the rides, games and attractions throughout Paisley town centre, there is definitely something for everyone in the family.
Christmas is, after all, about spending time with friends and family, and I love seeing our town come alive at this time of year with something fun to do for kids from one to 92.
While Paisley has come alive with festivities,Thursday also marks the 2021 announcement – and I can’t think of a better time for our town to be on the national stage.
This announcement could be one of the biggest and most important in our town’s history, and I am confident that a positive result will only see more good things to come for Paisley – and why wouldn’t we want another reason to celebrate over the holiday season?
