Has anyone seen Riley?

-

A distraught dog owner is desperate to get her four-legged friend home after he went missing in a country park.

Riley the lovable Jack Russell hasn’t been seen since December 30 when he was out for a walk with his owner, Lesley Hurst.

Lesley, from Bridge of Weir, told the Express she just wants Riley home and is lost without him.

“Riley is such an adventurous wee dog. He’s brilliant,” she said.

“I’m hoping to spread the word as much as possible. Surely someone has seen him?”

Riley went missing at around 9am at Locherwood and Ladymuir Clyde Muirshiel country park between the Bridge of Weir and Kilmalcolm areas and Lochwinnoch.

The vast area of woodland, forestry and moorland would have seemed like an adventure playground for the feisty four-year old dog who could have easily covered a lot of ground.

The recent heavy snowfall and icy temperatures have left Lesley sick with worry.

“Not knowing what has happened to him is the worst part,” she added.

“It sounds terrible but if I knew that he had been hit by a car I could deal with that.

“But with this weather and just having no clue where he is is awful.

“He’ll have been cold and hungry. It doesn’t even bear thinking about. “I just want him home.” The police and all relevant other bodies have been contacted in a bid to find Riley.

He is chipped and was wearing a collar and a tag when he disappeared.

Anyone who has any information or thinks they may have spotted Riley should call 07802 810194.
