Brute attacked partner

A yob has admitted violently pushing his part n e r over during a domestic disturbance, a court heard.

Paul Lewis, 50, attacked Louise Connelly at a house at Montrose Road in the town’s Foxbar area on May 28 last year.

Paisley Sheriff Court heard Lewis, now of Gentle Croft, Braco, Dunblane, was pleading guilty to a charge of pushing Ms Connelly on the body to her severe injury.

Defence agent Charlie McCusker said his client was admitting the assault, subject to certain deletions from the charge.

This was accepted by fiscal depute Ian Meacock on behalf of the prosecution.

Sheriff Simon Fraser deferred sentence on Lewis to call for background reports.

He will discover his fate when he appears for sentence on February 6.
