Jet off on eco trip

-

Young people are being given the chance to fly anywhere in the world to learn about eco- friendly building projects.

The Central Scotland Green Network Trust is offering three tickets to explore and report back on schemes bringing green spaces into towns and cities.

The cha rity want s those aged under 26 in Renfrewshire to apply for the chance to make a difference in their communities.

Simon Rennie, the cause’s chief executive, says the next generation of scientists is key to changing the way we live.

He said: “This is an exciting opportunity for a group of young people to support the development and delivery of the green network across central Scotland.

“We want them to learn from thought- provoking initiatives around the world.

“This could be exploring different ways to raise awareness and engage young people about the importance of green infrastructure.

“They could look at ways they can be directly involved in encouraging cycling and walking or in food growing initiatives.”

Winners will be given up to £1,000 to book flights to a project, including the High Line, in New York, Singapore’s Gardens by the Bay or the Bosco Certicale, in Milan.
