Workshop was tree-mendous

-

Brains are in gear, game faces are on and spirits are high for a group of teens after taking part in a series of motivational workshops.

School kids from Trinity High have kicked off the new term in style after completing Tree of Knowledge courses.

The programme which aims to engage, educate and motivate was enjoyed by third year pupils at the Renfrew school.

Deputy head teacher, Joy Walker, told the Express the visit from Tree of Knowledge was a great success.

“The kids had a brilliant time with Tree of Knowledge” Joy said.

“Each pupil took part in three different workshops which were all about being motivated, staying motivated and the secrets to succcess.

“The speaker, Darryl, taught us all about a growth mindset which really got the children thinking.”

With subject choices on the horizon for the teens, Joy thinks the workshops couldn’t have come at a better time.

“This is an a very important stage of school for the pupils,” Joy added.

“They will have to choose subjects soon which are taken to exam level.

“Having the right mindset, showing them that they can be who they want to be in the future is so important.

“I would definitely recommend the Tree of Knowledge programme to any school.”

“Our students had a fabulous time.”
