Woman clawed pub licensee

-

A woman sparked a pub rammy after clawing the owner with her fake nails.

Lauren Bruce, 29, dug her extensions into Margaret Patterson’s face at the Patter Bar.

She lashed out after bawling in the town centre boozer.

Bruce admitted assaulting the victim and acting in a threatening or abusive manner when the case called at Paisley Sheriff Court.

Sheriff John Herald called for experts to probe her background and deem whether she is suitable for community service.

He said:“In view of the nature of the charges, I think we need to get a report on you.

“Sentence will be deferred for a social work report with an unpaid work element.”

The bully pled guilty after kicking-off last March 11.

She terrified staff and customers after she began shouting and acting in an aggressive manner at the pub in Old Sneddon Street.

The row turned nasty and she began swiping at Ms Patterson.

The worker was left injured after her attacker used her nails to scratch her on the head and body.

The court heard she repeatedly struck out during the brawl.

Defence lawyer Bob Kerr offered no explanation for his client’s behaviour.

Bruce had originally been charged with grabbing her own grandmother by the neck and pushing her to the ground in the pub.

But this was dropped by prosecutors.

Bruce, of the town’s Gordon Street, has been ordered to return for sentencing next month.
