New home for surveyors

-

Shepherd Chartered Surveyors is on the move to bigger premises in Paisley.

The move is part of an expansion plan, which has been kick-started in response to a buoyant local property market.

The firm has relocated to Mirren Chambers at 41 Gauze Street, from St James Business Centre, in Linwood Road, where it had been based since 2000.

Headed up by Paisley-born Andrew Neil, Shepherd’s Paisley office initially dealt solely with residential property surveys and valuations, though the range of services on offer from Paisley have increased and developed over the years.

The office expanded to include a commercial valuation department five years ago and this, coupled with increased staffing of the residential department last year, resulted in the requirement for a larger office.

Andrew said:“One reason for the relocation has been a consideration that we can enhance even further the level of property services we can offer to the residents of Paisley and Renfrewshire by moving to a more central location.

“Our newly installed signage gives us an enhanced presence and visibility within the town. I am convinced that the move will have a positive impact on new and existing customer experiences.

“My colleagues and I look forward to our new Paisley office entering Shepherd’s third decade of servicing the town and surrounding areas.”

Andrew says the property market in Renfrewshire is buoyant, particularly for family homes, whether these are starter homes or those ranging from £150k to £350k.

He explained:“Closing dates are commonplace across the market and, often Home Report values are being exceeded, which is a reflection of the consumer confidence and desire for good properties.

“If you are thinking about selling, then now is definitely a good time to get your house on the market as there is a strong demand out there.”
