Police called to hotel

An 18- year- old man has been arrested on suspicion of breaking into a motor at a Renfrew hotel.

Police were alerted to a man acting suspiciously in the car park of the Glynhill Hotel around midnight on Saturday.

Staff were able to locate the man and detain him for a short time but he made off before police arrived.

He was traced a short time later and was arrested. He will appear over the alleged incident at Paisley Sheriff Court.
