Step out for char­ity

A fam­ily-friendly char­ity walk that helps those with mus­cle wast­ing con­di­tions has re­leased de­tails about its 2018 event.

Mus­cu­lar Dys­tro­phy UK is host­ing Move a Mile for Mus­cles on Septem­ber 15 at 12pm.

Par­tic­i­pants can run, walk, jog or skip one mile round the Cas­tle Sem­ple vis­i­tor cen­tre at Lochwin­noch. Fully ac­ces­si­ble, the walk al­lows peo­ple with a con­nec­tion to mus­cu­lar dys­tro­phy to meet up and make new friends.

Cos­tumes are en­cour­aged with a prize on the day for the best dressed walker.

Fol­low­ing the spon­sored event will be a host of games, stalls and ac­tiv­i­ties in­clud­ing face paint­ing for ev­ery­one to en­joy.

Those want­ing to take part can reg­is­ter in­di­vid­u­ally or as part if a team.

It costs £2.50 for chil­dren to en­ter, £5 for adults and £10 for fam­ily passes.
