Bully terrorised woman and boy
Victims terrified by attack at home
A brute has been found guilty of attacking a woman and a boy of 13.
Karol Bugalski, 38, pinned ex- girlfriend Dorota Sliwa to a wall after launching a pair of hair straighteners across the room.
He lunged at the panicked lad and tried to grab him during a rammy at his home.
The bully was found guilty of terrorising the pair during a trial at Paisley Sheriff Court.
Sheriff Seith Ireland slapped the roofer with a fine – but admitted he was showing mercy because of his low income.
He said: “I can deal with this by means of a financial penalty.
“I do have to have regards to your limited means and to the fact you have no previous convictions.”
Bugalski followed proceedings from the dock with the help of an interpreter.
The court heard he flew into a rage after a row broke out.
Prosecutors told how he left his victims cowering after bawling and swearing.
Bugalski hurled the hair straighteners while he ranted, leaving the pair terrified.
He repeatedly grabbed Dorota and pushed her against a wall in front of the scared youngster.
The thug then turned on the boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons.
He tried to seize hold of him, but missed, during the argument in Paisley’s Williamsburgh Court last June 17.
The court heard Bugalski and his former partner have no children and they have since split.
Defence lawyer Peter Galletly insisted his client would keep away.
He said: “He’s no desire to meet with Sliwa again.”
Bugalski denied lashing out at the victims during a trial this week.
But he was convicted of assaulting Dorota and the teenager.
The yob was also found guilty of frightening his victims by acting in a threatening or abusive manner by shouting and swearing at the pair.
Sheriff Ireland fined him £550.
