Centre’s cash offer for community groups

-

Community groups in Renfrewshire are being encouraged to take advantage of money being offered to good causes by a shopping centre.

Intu Braehead’s community fund donates up to £500 every three months to projects, groups and charities.

Now people are being urged to apply for these grants that can make a difference to the local community in Renfrewshire.

Staff at intu Braehead also volunteer to carry out work such as landscaping, gardening, painting and decorating and repairs to damaged property.

Lydia Brown, intu Braehead’s community development manager ,said: “Our community fund and the intu Volunteers Project is a great opportunity for the people of Renfrewshire to access funding that can be put to good use and make a difference to their local community.

“As well as supporting thousands of jobs and pumping millions of pounds into the local economy each year, we also want to help people living in the towns and villages who are working hard for their local community.

“No matter how small a project or appeal is, we want to hear from people and groups who could benefit from one of our grants.”
