You can shape how we run our elections
There is still time for Renfrewshire residents to have their say on how future elections are organised and carried out.
Councillor Kenny McLaren is urging people to take part in an online consultation.
He said:“Modernisation takes place across all aspects of society and now is a good time to think about the kinds of innovation people in Scotland would like to see in elections.
“This consultation will allow the public to have their say on how future elections should be organised.”
The official closing date is March 29, and the SNP councillor for Paisley Northwest says that every opinion counts.
“It is possible to complete all the questions online in only a few minutes,”he added.
“By taking part in this consultation you can influence how elections will be held in the future.
“I would encourage everyone who is interested in democratic politics to get involved.
“This is the public’s chance to get have a say on how future elections should be organised.” The consultation is split into six sections. Question topics range from accessibility of voting to eligibility to vote and how elections should be held.
