- Nostalgia set to take over

Fans of home-grown rock music may have been a little disheartened by the headliners announced for TRNSMT Festival so far.

All that could change as organisers release their final stellar line-up.

British rock heavyweights dominate the bill for Friday, July 6 which was just revealed this week.

Queen and Adam Lambert will headline the main stage.

The global superstars, a combination of active members of Queen with American vocalist Adam Lambert, have sent rock fans pulses racing as they gear up for the Glasgow festival.

Their set will follow performances from Scottish pop-rock legends, Texas.

Sharleen Spiteri and co are returning to their home turf for a set that promises all the greatest hits plus some exciting new material.

The fun doesn’t stop there for rock fans, as The Darkness join the line-up for July 6.

Adding to the very British line-up, The Temperance Movement will get the main stage crowd warmed up with hits including Midnight Black and Only Friend.

Glasgow-born lead vocalist, Phil Campbell can’t wait to play in front of a home crowd at the festival which is set for a storming return for the second year.

Hundreds of Buddies headed to Glasgow Green for TRNSMT’s inaugural weekend in 2017.

Riding on the wave of last year’s success the festival is back with a five- day extravaganza.
