-

A drug dealer admitted selling pills outside a town centre post office.

James Hendrie, 29, pushed diazepam outside the Silk Street branch.

He also sold the tablets in different streets around the town.

Hendrie pled guilty at Paisley Sherif Court to supplying the class-C drug.

Sheriff John Hamilton called for more information on his background before deciding whether to cage him.

He said:“I am going to defer sentence for the purpose of obtaining a criminal justice social work report.

“You must come back on the date given and cooperate with social work.

“The better the report, the moreit will help you.”

Hendrie admitted selling drugs outside the post office and at his home on November 9, 2016.

Defence lawyer Peter Galletly claimed there was“powerful mitigation”in the case but refused to explain his client’s behaviour.

Hendrie, of Barterholm Road, was ordered to return for sentencing on next month.
