Yob sounded off after being thrown out of mall

A woman turfed out a shopping centre during a shoplifting probe screamed at cops: “F** k off, piggy b******s.”

Claire Donnechie, 26, was escorted from the Piazza over fears she may have been stealing.

Police were called after she began hurling abuse at security guards.

Appearing at Paisley Sheriff Court, Donnechie admitted shouting and swearing in the street.

Prosecutor Joanne Gilmour told how the yob turned her ire on officers.

She said: “The accused was spoken to by witnesses.

“She began shouting and swearing, ‘ F** k off. Get to f** k away from me’.

“Police attended as they were nearby.

“They observed her with security staff.

“She shouted at them, ‘F**k off, piggy b******s’.”

Donnechie sounded off after she was thrown out the mall last April 29.

Guards had suspected her of shoplifting food from Poundland and told her to leave.

The woman had been accused of theft but a not guilty plea was accepted by the Crown.

She broke down after being hauled into the dock.

Defence lawyer Bob Kerr told how his client had become hooked on drugs.

He said: “She has attended Renfrewshire Drug Service.

“She is getting methadone because she lately developed a heroin habit.

“She’s not deemed fit for work at this moment in time.

“She appears to be struggling with the circumstances in which she finds herself.”

Donnechie previously pleaded guilty to targeting her ex-partner during a domestic a row in November 16.

She kicked-off when the twoyear relationship petered out and ended up in cuffs.

S h e r i f f K e v i n Du f f y admonished her for the incident with her former boyfriend, but told her he would wait to see if she could behave before ruling on the disturbance at the shopping mall.

“He said: “I think there is a benefit to some kind of supervision.

“I’m going to defer sentence for three months.

“I do not want any report of any offence of that kind or any at all.”

Donnechie, of Springbank Road, Paisley, was ordered to return to court on June 11.
