Club bosses put their best feet forward in London

-

Bowfield Hotel and Country Club bosses are going the extra mile by running the London Marathon in aid of two top charities.

Director Steve Graham is lacing up his trainers to raise £6,000 for CHAS and When You Wish Upon A Star.

And he will be joined by colleague Steven Buckley for the 26-mile slog.

Steve runs the Manorview Group, which owns the Howwood facility, and says he wants to give back to those facing hard times.

He said:“We’ve set ourselves a challenge and it will be a great achievement.

“We are delighted to help two very worthwhile charities, which deserve support.”

Steve heads up procurement for the firm at its base next to the hotel.

The pair have been hitting its gym to make sure they are in top shape for their first marathon.

They are asking Express readers to back their April 22 fundraiser to help split cash between the worthy causes.

Judith King, fundraiser for When Wish Upon a Star, which grants special requests for children, says every penny can help a child in need.

She said: “We believe every child deserves to smile and, with every pound they raise, we will be in a position to grant the most magical wishes.”
