Keystone A also took advantage of results around them as they take over seventh place with a 7-2 win over bottom side Arthurlie Inns.

However, the game between Railway Inn and Hagg Bar C was unavoidably postponed and will be played at a later date.

In the Second Division, Pockets Black are still the pacesetters as they continued their winning ways by dishing out a 7-2 defeat to Flying Horse B.

The latest win keeps the gap between them and a chasing trio to two points. Still leading the pack are the Kelburn after defeating Keystone B with a superb 8-1 home result. The win puts a bit of daylight between the Kelburn and Cafuffals, who managed a 6-3 home win against Inkerman Bowling Club.

However, the leg difference now sits at four and that may be crucial at the end of the season.

The last team in the chasing pack for first place is Tartan Rose who sit just four legs behind the Cafuffals team and their 8- 1 home win over Hazel Pirates B helped close the gap this week.

Court Bar B have now put a two- point cushion between themselves and Keystone B after they took full advantage of the Keystone result beating Hazel Arms 5-4 in a hard-fought game.

In the last game in the division Hazel Pirates managed to draw themselves level with opponents Kelburne Cricket Club after they edged a slender 5-4 scoreline. Both teams now sit in ninth place.

There was a total of 13 maximums scored this week with Hagg Bar A’s Andy Boulton scoring two in the match against Burgh Bar, however he still has some way to go to catch season leader Drew Callary with 16.

The fastest game of the night also came from Boulton as he equalled the seasons best with a 12-dart game to accompany another of 15 darts with teammate Ian Thomson nailing the highest finish of the night with a brilliant 123 checkout.

Court Bar’s Paul Carruthers showed how much of a hotshot he is as he managed to get on all three highlight tables for the week.

Next week sees the prelim round of the Hagg Bar Trophy, with the pick of the games at Burgh Bar where they host St Peters.

Elsewhere Tartan Rose travel to Inkerman, and Pockets Black will take on the Kelburn at home.
