Brute beat up his mother

-

forced her onto the floor.

The court heard she managed to flee into the street – “terrified” about what he might do next.

Police were called and dragged him away from his mum’s home in Renfrew’s Kirklandneuk Road on February 14.

He was blasted for the “disgraceful” and “appalling” assault but was released on bail.

Robb was ordered to keep away from his mother.

But only two days later he was back to terrorise her.

Linda called cops again, but her son kicked off at them when they arrived. He bawled: “I’m gonna do you all in. “You’re getting it as soon as I’m out I’m gonna batter every one of you.”

Defence lawyer Rhona Lynch admitted her client used his release to target his mum again.

She said: “He accepts he was placed in a position of trust and accepts he shouldn’t have been where he was.”

Repeat offender Robb previously claimed his life had been turned around by a scheme designed to get lags back into work.

He had spent time behind bars for a range of crimes, including police assault and breaches of the peace.

Robb was given help to find work a home after being released in 2015.

He said then: “Having a job changed my life. Every prisoner who gets offered this should grab it because it might be the best thing they ever do.

“I was given a massive second chance and I don’t want to waste it.”

Robb, of Thrushcraig Crescent, Paisley, is due out again later this year.
