Regiment of Scotland in Iraq, Kosovo and Afghanistan, had served together with Haugen.

He was handed 16 years behind bars after stabbing landlady Grace 27 times in the flat he rented from her in May 2015.

He admitted murdering Grace after fearing she was going to evict him from her property.

Mharie had been friends with the brute and had served together where she was a corporal and Haugen was a lance corporal in the 1st Battalion.

She added she has done her best to put the tragic events of her past behind her by completing her post graduate degree in marketing and is working two jobs at the moment.

She added: “I have been keeping myself busy.

“I am working in a shop as well as interning at an office, so I have a lot on the go.”

A High Court spokesman said: “The appeal for William Cameron was refused at the second sift stage.” Renfrew Christian Fellowship is hosting a one-day women’s conference on Saturday, June 2.
