Boss says Magennis is ready

Jack Ross has tipped Kyle Magennis to hit the big time in the Premiership as the 19-yearold readies himself for a shot at the top flight.
The St Mirren manager has never held back in his praise of the midfielder who has been a revelation since being thrown in to the deep end of the club’s relegation battle in 2016.
Substitute appearances against Hibernian and Morton were enough to confirm to the Saints gaffer that Magennis was the way forward for the struggling side ahead of a January transfer window that saw a number of his teammates put out to pasture.
Since then Magennis has been an ever-present when fit, lifting the club’s Young Player of the Year award two years running.
And Ross admits that he can’t wait to see the Scotland under-21 international bound on to the big stage – just 18 months after being seen as nothing more than just another player in the club’s youth academy.
