One of Paisley’s top charities has a number of great fundraising events coming up

Accord Hospice is looking for daredevils for its Firewalk in September.

This is an opportunity to brave the heat and bare your soles and raise money for the charity at an event that is being overseen by Firewalk Scotland.

Ac c o rd says this adrenaline- fueled event will push your boundaries, challenge your perceptions and ma k e for an unforgettable evening.

Entertainment on the evening will be provided too.

It will take place on Saturday, September 29, at 6.30pm. The registration fee is £ 20 and minimum fundraising is set at £100.

Before that, on Saturday, September 19, the Annual Accord Golf Tournament will take place in the famous setting of Western Gailes Golf Club in Ayrshire.

The charity says this is without doubt one of the finest links golf courses in the country and it hopes people will be able to join them on the greens and in the clubhouse.

It costs £ 560 for a team of four and £ 140 for an individual.

This will include the full use of club facilities. There will be tea/coffee and a filled roll on arrival, a full buffet meal, an auction/raffle and presentation of prizes.

And later in the year, one of the highlights of the Accord year is returning – the Ladies’ Lunch.

The event begins with a glass of bubbly on arrival, entertainment and photo booth in the reception area.

The resident Accord DJ Steve will be on hand to get the ladies on their feet whilst the host for the day will be Edward Reid.

Edward will also perform some of his fantastic songs that made him famous on Britain’s Got Talent.

Ladies will also sit down to a three-course meal served at the Glynhill Hotel in Renfrew, with lots of chances to win prizes, games and more.

The event will take place on Sunday, October 21, at 12.30pm and costs £30.
