A drunk teenager had to be tied to a stretcher after he kicked-off and ran naked along the street.

Logan McMahon, 18, charged outside starkers before spitting on a cop when he was lifted.

He was so sozzled he had to be handcuffed to a wheelchair after being rushed to the Royal Alexandra Hospital.

The teen was found guilty at Paisley Sheriff Court of struggling and gobbing on an officer .

McMahon told how he ran outside after his pal, who was also collared by officers after he sprinted by in the buff.

He said: “I was bare-chested, I had just my boxers on.

“There were people screaming outside.

“As I left the house, my friend grabbed my shorts and pulled them off me.

“They were quite loose, they came straight down. “I just ran out of them. “I was very intoxicated.” McMahon told how he wanted to study law at university, but his career is in tatters before it has even begun.

The court heard he ran out after a friend was lifted and put in the back of a car and bawled: “F**k the polis.”

PC Bonner Young was among those who had to tie him down.

He said: “I heard running outside and there was another male fully naked running, shouting and swearing.

“He was shouting at the top of his lungs.

“He became very aggressive and he was flailing his arms and legs. “He was trying to get away. “He had to be strapped to a stretcher for his own safety.”

McMahon was taken to casualty after sparking the rammy in Molendiner Road, in Neilston, around 1.45am on January 4.

Four cops had to keep watch while he waited to be examined at the RAH.

He was cuffed to a chair, but spat on an officer after acting out in a cubicle.

Paisley-born McMahon told how he wanted to study law and business or mechanical engineering.

Defence lawyer Ter r y Gallanagh described the drama as “highjinks” and called for his client to be given an absolute discharge.

He said: “He accepts he and friends, as a dare, went out naked and ran in the street.

“But he doesn’t accept he ran out shouting.”

Sheriff Tom McCartney convicted McMahon and called for background reports.

He said: “I satisfied beyond reasonable doubt that the verdict in each charge should be guilty.

“The gravity of the offence is such that I do not consider an absolute discharge as appropriate.

“I am not prepared to take that step.”

McMahon, of Molendiner Road, has been ordered to return for sentencing on June 19.
