Ferguslie trio to don blue of Scotland
A trio of Ferguslie players will be in action for Scotland A this week as they take on Lancashire 2s.
Michael English, Riyaad Henry and Hamza Tahir have all joined up with the national select side, which features a mix of experience and young blood in a squad that will travel to Neston Cricket Club to play their English hosts in a one-day match and two T20s.
Richie Berrington has been given the opportunity to lead the 12- man team, which includes former Scotland captain Preston Mommsen along with Matthew Cross and George Munsey.
It will be an important few days for the players as they will be keen to impress head coach Grant Bradburn, who is travelling down with the team in time for the next internationals against England and Pakistan this month.
Mitchell Rao, who captained the Performance Academy against Durham Academy two weeks ago, has been included, as well as Dylan Budge and Tahir, who have been impressing in the Regional Series this season.
The team play two T20s today.
Scotland A have travelled down to Bath and Durham already in the early part of the season, recording wins against Gloucestershire 2nd XI and Durham 2nd XI.
