She has never without being please let me
A desperate and tearful Paisley teenager yesterday pleaded with her missing mum: “Let me know you are okay”.
Alannah McGrory, 18, made the direct appeal to Patricia Henry as detectives grow increasingly concerned for her safety.
The 46-year-old, who is known as Patti, was last heard from in November and a major police investigation was launched in March to help trace her.
During a heartfelt appeal at Paisley police station in Mill Street, Alannah said: “I hope that by coming here someone will come forward with even the smallest piece of information that can help the police find my mum.
“My mum is known as Patti to most people and I’m worried about her.
“She has never been so long without being in touch.
“If you have any idea where my mum could be, or if you’ve seen her since she was last reported missing, please let the police know.
“And mum, if you see this, please let me know you are okay.”
Investigating officers have been working round the clock in a bid to bring Patti home safely but admit fears for her welfare are growing.
DCI Alan Sommerville, who is leading the probe, said: “Patricia has been missing since November 13 last year, which is over six months.
“As time goes by we are more and more concerned about where Patricia might be.
“We would appeal to anyone in the public who has seen Patricia, or has any information at all on where Patricia iS, to contact the police on 101.”
As part of the investigation, specialist search teams sealed off a flat – linked to a close friend of Patti’s – in Paisley’s Burnfoot Crescent and also a flat in Girvan, where she had been staying since October.
Forensics teams, including dog branch cops, have been scouring the Paisley site since last week and investigations at both homes are expected to continue for several weeks.
DCI Sommerville explained that every resource available has been used in the bid to find Alannah’s mum.
He said: “Police are carrying out every possible line for investigation to find out where Patricia may be. That includes searches at Paisley and Girvan – they are ongoing and will be detailed in trying to find out where Patricia is.
“We use have used dogs to search, we have used a speciallytrained search adviser, we’ve used financial investigators, and we have used digital media investigators to look at Patricia’s social media profile and telecoms enquiries.
